The fisrt CH-54A (18454) was taken to Germany in May of 1969. I took it apart at Navy Dallas and assembled it at Siembach,Germany. After assembly and test flight it was then flown to Finthen AAF. It was broken down in 3 peices and loaded on a C-130 for the transfer...
