CW2 Frank R. Cannon, Jr. -- CH-54 pilot, 295th HH, 1974-1977
I accidentally stumbled on this website and could not believe that there was stuff about my father's old unit, the 295th. He may have been the only black pilot in the group at the time we were in Germany (1974-77).
I saw Major Slye's name on the site, and he was listed as possibly the last commander of the 295th. Our families were close back then. We were also close to the Kearns', but I don't know if Mr. Kearns was in the unit.
