Though most of you old crew dogs never met this man, I assure you that you had a connection with him.
His name is James MaComb, and he worked for Sikorsky Helicopters as a Flight Test Engineer for many years.
His greatest pride and joy outside his family was his contributions to the S-64/CH-54 Skycrane. As a matter of fact, Jim designed over 50% of that bird. So if you loved it, hated it or just didn't care one way or the other, you can thank your lucky stars that there were guys like Jim out there working for you.
Well fellas, Jim passed away earlier today after suffering a long illness.
So even though you may never have met Jim, please tkae a moment from your busy schedules to honor the memory of a fallen comrade.
