Hello from Kansas and the Barkers. Its great to see the pictures of the crane and read some of the comments from former aviation members. It brought back some great memories. Would love to visit with any and all members I served with.

Great job on the website. Seeing the unit photos brings back some wonderful memories of my time with the unit in 71-74. It was the best assignment in my 22 years in the Army. We had the best aircraft and finest people of any unit in Europe.

The fisrt CH-54A (18454) was taken to Germany in May of 1969. I took it apart at Navy Dallas and assembled it at Siembach,Germany. After assembly and test flight it was then flown to Finthen AAF. It was broken down in 3 peices and loaded on a C-130 for the transfer to Germany. I was the Crew Cheif and later Flight Engineer having been trained by Owen Barker at Fort Sill, O.K.

I JUST FOUND THIS SIGHT THANKS TO (STUMP)David Adamczyk who I tracked down today and got to talk to him on the phone. he told me about this sight and I like you remembered. I live in okc, ok. and would love to here from you if you remember me. You took us to rein main in the yellow merc. when we got out of the army.
