So, longtime readers of my repeated plaintive messages here will recall that I have a barn find No. 19 set. I now have built an AC supply for it, replaced all paper capacitors, replaced the audio output transformer on the A set (which had an open primary), filled it...
I bought a electronics business, and there were (2) crates with the original military lettering, and inside was a complete set, with most items sealed.

Recently picked up a refurbished 19 set New 9/59 , with the B Set removed . The output on R/T is very high , about 15 watts , it looks completely untouched , as is the psu . All my other sets have only ever put out 2-3 watts in R/T . Anyone ever experienced this ?
Was just informed today I won the AWA AM QSO Party event using my No 19 WS.
It is stock except for a minor mode freeing up the drive limiting circuit and a proper parasitic suppressor in place of the old resistor in the plate lead.
I am very happy to have had...

Hello
I just picked up a No 19 Mk III that has been apparently in a basement for the last 30+ yrs. Based on the amount of dust and cobwebs I believe that claim. I was told that the owner passed away a long time ago so I was unable to get additional details or find...

All,
I'm the new proud owner of a WS19 MkII and a bunch of accessories and I'm trying to get it up and running so we can show and even possibly use as part of a display of WWII radios and talk-in station at a local warbirds air show next month here in North Caroli...
I recently acquired a WS #19 MKII in fair condition, but not operable. Both of the dynamotor supplies are inop and appear have the 12v side shorted out (measured while isolated). In trying to bring up the receiver to get an idea of what's what, and with the applica...
Does anyone know how many types of power (battery) cables were developed for the 19-Set? I have seen Wire loom covered, black rubber covered (both single and dual line versions) and a strange yellow cloth type of loom.
Since these items are not dated, it is hard...
I bought a modified 19 set back in 1972 from a local electronics 'junk shop' (when I was 14) and living in Greater Manchester, UK. I've not used it on the air although it works on RX and TX. It has been modified (i.e. an internal UK mains power supply has been fitted...
I have a No. 19 set which has been butchered in some
very odd ways, and I'd really like to see a properly working radio. The two capacitors directly below the 807 have been removed and a number of wires chopped up, and in spite of the schematic I have been unable to...

Does anyone have a detailed photo of an original Horizontal Aerial Assy on it's wooden reel? The only photo I have found is in the Mk III Canadian Operators manual and it is too small for much detail.

Just a query about the correct audio bandwidth of the 19 set. I have been using a fully restored Mark 111 through a Mk 2 amplifier a lot recently and speaking to a lot of amateurs using 'modern' a.m. rigs. The combination puts out a healthy 12 watts of carrier and is...
