Re: Drumnadrochit - where to stay?

Gordon,

I had a similar problem three years ago when I wanted to get the early ferry and my B&B was in the centre of Drumnadrochit.

I took the early ferry and had breakfast at the Forestry Commission Car Park just out of Inverfaridaig where there are picnic tables and toilets etc at about 8:30.

The only problem is the 8am start from Temple Pier.

I am going this way again this year and have a B&B near to the centre of Drumnadrochit. I aim to be there on Monday leaving on Tuesday morning.

Hope this useful.

Bill

Janet Sutherland at Ault-na-goire.

Definitely fabulous Gordon.
Evening ferry.

Take a midge hat though.
The little buggers dine out if there is no breeze.

Re: Drumnadrochit - where to stay?

Hi
It is worth noting that while the ferry leaves at 8:00 in the morning there is likely to be more than 12 challengers there. There will therefore be a second and possibly a third or even fourth ferry trip across.
Depends on which day you are crossing of course. Tuesday morning is the busy one but Wednesday morning will have a few also.

Colin

Re: Drumnadrochit - where to stay?

Thanks, Colin.

I guessed there might be more than one ferry crossing - and, I would have been Wednesday morning.

But, I am goin to head over on Tuesday evening and stay with the Sutherlands - the hospitality sounds to good to let pass.
