Further to Torridon transport issues, SYHA Torridon manager Mat has been in touch to update/correct Torridon travel info on the Event Details:

There are no buses from Achnasheen to Torridon anymore, but there is a daily service (m-s) from Strathcarron. The bus meets the early afternoon train from Inverness.

On page 3, I stated that Torridon could be reached via Westerbus from Inverness, changing in Kinlochewe. However Mat points out that there is no connection with the Westerbus service so you might find yourself stranded in Kinlochewe, 10 miles from the start point in Torridon.

I'll try to get the most up-to-date details in the newsletter, which will be circulated in January/February.

Getting to your start point is part of your Challenge, and in the case of Torridon it's well-worth the effort!
