How short sighted you are Peter, would you like Skitters Woods to be fenced off altogether, did you never play in woods when you were a child? Possibly not, as if you had you may have grown up with less of a sour outlook on life. From Liverpool Road side of the woods it is a 30 minute walk to RL Hughes via the roads through Ashton, it's a 10 minutes walk through the wood. In fact very few, if any children do go via the Wood as it is too muddy, this means parents take the children to school in their cars, causing congested roads, problems with parking round the school, and of course increasing polution. If the banks around the school are bare I am sure this cannot have been caused by the children. Have you any constructive sollutions, and not just negative comments.
