Re: Ron Reynolds RIP

That really is such very sad news. Ron was the actual first Challenger I ever encountered, way back in 1994, when he charged up behind me on Sgurr Choinnich and joined me to cross Sgurr a' Chaorachain. We camped by Loch Monar that night and he initiated me into so much Challenge lore. we crossed paths lots of times over the years and he was always a delight to walk with. The word legend is much overused on the Challenge but Ron was the real thing. A dreadful loss.

Re: Ron Reynolds RIP

Sad loss of another Challenge legend and gentleman, he gave me his last teabag during his final Challenge.

He will be remembered well and greatly missed.

Re: Ron Reynolds RIP

So sorry to hear this. Miss W & I were only talking about him on that very day.

A true gentleman and a kind soul - we have happy memories of walking with Ron both on the Challenge and reunions. RIP.

Re: Ron Reynolds RIP

Sad to hear about Rons passing .Imet him twice at the tgo reunion in 2009 at Fort William and again at Pershore reunion the same year .A very nice man and he told me some great stories about the challenge

Re: Ron Reynolds RIP

I've just seen this sad news about Ron.

He used to tease me about my support of Tranmere Rovers FC, which was rich coming from a Saddler!

I walked with him a few times on Snake Pass reunions and the Challenge and I'm grateful for the support he gave me as a new Challenger.

RIP Ron.
