Chaps
I get the following message when I try to open a texture file:

"Cannot open file C:DOCUME~RICKBRO~1LOCALS~1TempTrans.bmp."

The file does open after the error though. I have installed the DLL's and everything seems in place.
I'm using Windoz XP SP3 etc.
Any idea's?

UPDATE!!
Re-installed (used regman to remove any enries) and the message has changed, its all the same until the last file,its now saying xnorm.bmp.
The file wont open at this point but on the second attemp it opens but still shows the error.

This sounds like Kaspersky antivirus

Look at the post further down the forum "xnorm.bmp andKaspersky antivirus" and see if this covers your problem

Cheers! That was exactly the problem. I didn't pick up on the origional post as the error code wasn't the same until the re-install, sorry.
I've just fired it up on my netbook at work (this too has Kaspesky) and this suffers the same until you disable the protection.
I do find Kaspesky to be poor, I've had many problems with it, port settings opening and closing when they like etc and their support is very poor. It WILL now be removed and replaced with something better, it may be cheep.....You get what you pay for...
