Paint and pictures??

Now that the correct tank is coming for my 1940 WA3, I am thinking ahead to having it running, and then finishing the project with paint. From what I have learned, this entire motor and tank was originally painted dull aluminum. I would like to verify that the gas tank was also dull aluminum and also like to verify if there were any decals on the motors that were sold at Western Auto, such as this one.

I continue to search for a picture of an authentic restoration for clues, with no luck so far.

Thanks for any direction...Doug

Actually, I was thinking about Tom as well so I emailed to see if he had them. Unfortunately he doesn't.

Re: Paint and pictures??

Found the decals and also alot of parts for other motors I am starting to work on from Douglas Penn is Ma.

Very good service and seems well stocked and can also get what you need if he does not have it.

Hope this helps...Doug

Re: Paint and pictures??

Hey Doug,
Any update on how things are going with the motor? Also wanted to let you know about something that I was just told about. Ebay has a manual on CD that you may want to look into. I'm going to get me one since it's hard to go wrong for the price.
