thank you brian,,, now may i bug ya again,,does this motor have a lower cowl it doesn t and if it should have where would i look to locate one,, thanks again,,,gary

Brian is right. Your serial number should be a 1954 WG-4 and is 6 hp.
It came with a two part lower cowling that splits in the middle to give you a right and left half. it also has a rubber strip along it's top edge to dampen vibration. I bought my last one on Ebay.
