I recently purchaed a wg-4 that calls for 12 oz.sae 30 oil per gallon mix. Could I use 2-cycle engine oil, and if so do I need the same mixing ratio?

Your motor has anti friction needle bearings thruout Use TCW3 at recommended ratio and let results speak for themselves...expect to foul plugs if you do excessive idleing and if you go too thin on oil expect problems in cylinder if you run mainly flat out. I would NOT suggest 50 or 100 to 1 ratio but
A light duty motor should run ok with less of a better quality oil.
This is a NO RIGHT ANBWER QUESTION.
