Does it preserve the taste? In the cupboard I currently have Laphroaig and Grouse. If it ruins the taste I'll use the Grouse. If it will taste like neat peat as I'm sitting on a boggy bit of ground, I'll risk the good stuff, but if it just comes out as vaguely whisky tasting, it would be a waste.

Plus, did you use a dehydrator and, if so, what temperature and for how long?
