Sadly for Ratty, I think that trap looks like a legal one. Referring back to the link I provided, it looks like the entrances to the trap have been narrowed to limit the size of the animal that can pass though it, which makes it legal.

Its not illegal its a fen trap perfectly legal for use. I would however question its exposed nature if in a public area, not best practice!
