This website has been such a valuable source of information, I have traced my Kernan lineage to Upper Creggan with the earliest record (found to date) from 1826. I look forward to finding out more about the area and the times my ancestors lived through.

Lived in Tullydonnell and went to Ballynaclosaha school (around 1952 to 1961). My father was Tom Campbell, born about 1908 and we lived in Tullydonnell Gauge. His father was Thomas Campbell - may have had connections to Hanlon or O\'Hanlon; and I was told he was buried in Creggan; I had a look round the graveyard many years ago but could find no inscription for Campbell. I really do not know how to go about finding out if my grandfather was buried in Creggan. Any help would be appreciated.

What is your interest in the Society?

HARRISON genealogy

Any observations/comments would be welcome

I am interested in making contact with anyone who has a Harrison ancestor. In County Armagh, geographical names in our family include Upper Fews (are those woods?), Newtownhamilton, and Camoly Ball or Camly Ball. My relative was John Harrison (born about 1762/3, died 1797). He had two sons, Arthur Noble Harrison and probably John Harrison. Later on Camily Ball we see also a Samuel Harrison, don\'t know exactly how he fits into tree. This John Harrison (b. 1760s) died young and his father-in-law MARTIN raised the children. So I am guessing John\'s wife\'s maiden name was Martin, unless that is a first name for her father. Seeking descendants of this family. Also am interested in how they may have lived. Two of Arthur\'s many children went to New Zealand and their descendants have done a great job of tracing Harrison history there and in Co. Armagh. Rest may have stayed. Most descendants were Presbyterian, religion being so important in Ireland\'s history. Anything on Harrisons of County Armagh would interest me. Thank you for maintaining this guestbook. -- Polly Lynn
