Additional Information: Son of William Henry and Eliza Daker, of 112 London Road New Balderton. Died of respiratory failure due to a brain tumour in the cerebellum at Winwick Hospital Warrington Cheshire.

I am doing family history and I am looking for any information about my grandmother Margaret McLoughlin who was a dementia patient and died at the Winwick Hospital in 1949. Would like to hear back from anyone who knew her.

I am looking for information about my grandmother, Elizabeth Ellen Hopkins who, I understand, was admitted to Winwick Hospital between 1917 and 1923 and who died there in 1965. I believe that she became maid/housekeeper to the matron. Does anyone have information or memories of her?

I work for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service and we have a Historical Society where we operate several vintage fire engines....We also have two hose carts from the hospital fire brigade, both have been restored. I will try to get some photos and post on the site. I remember the fire officer, Tom Spriring who was a Station Officer at Newton previously. He lived in a hospital in Hollins Lane....this would be in the mid 1960s.
