Which of my sites did you visit?

The Scarabaeidae site.

What did you like most?

Nice presentation, your site could be used successfully for teaching!

Where did you hear about my site?

I found it surfing on the Net trying to find help to identify beetles.

Your comments:

I have noted your site reference, but its content is not exactly what I was looking for. I have a quite big collection of beetles from all over the world (most of them collected by myself when I was working in many tropical countries)but I still have dificulties to identify a lot of them! It is the reason why I use Internet in order to find material which could help me in the taxonomical field...

In the 2005 book "Carnivorous Nights - On the Trail of the Tasmanian Tiger" by Margaret Mittelbach and Michael Crewdson.

Your comments:

After reading about the authors' search for the "tiger," I was pleased to see this animal in motion at your site. It's true, a picture is worth a thousand words.

Which of my sites did you visit?

The Thylacine Cloning Project

What did you like most?

Aid to the replication of Thylacine wolf.

Where did you hear about my site?

I search some notes for curiosity about the Tasmanian wolf.

Your comments:

I am very impressed with what you have done and continue to do. I would like to aid your project, because I think that this project is very important and indispensable to the investigation of mythological stories and tales in old period.

The key of see all that you have and I will also tell others about you and your site. You're now in my bookmarks so I can visit any time and see what might be new or to read what others have to say.

Keep up the great work. Your site is very motivating. It makes me want to learn more about things that I, and am sure that many, do not even know about. I have heard about the Tasmanian Tiger before and had seen one or two pictures, but that is it. It would be awesome if sound were on the old film clips. Perhaps you could put some in there if you know of or about what type of noise they made. How diverse was their vocabulary? Do you know?

Thank You,
Gordon

Which of my sites did you visit?

Thylacine Museum

What did you like most?

Everything about the site.

Your comments:

I have followed the plight of the thylacine for years, and unfortunately very little has changed since they were hunted one hundred plus years ago. Today the extant population that has survived faces and even greater danger - the powerful forces of economic greed that is driven by the logging industry. In Tasmania, it has been reported that loggers are trying to thwart recognition of liviing thylacines by poisoning large areas wherever sightings have been reported with the compound 1080, an ominous chemical that kills all native wildlife. Gunns Limited and others seem to have no guilt or environmental conscience with regard to wildlife, because disclosure of "live thylacines" would certainly place restrictions on their logging operations. If it comes down to the survival of the species it is even more tragic what the thylacine is facing. How pathetic and sad!!!!!!

This is wonderful and I hope that in due time, one of the many people dedicated to finding a specimen alive in the wild will be successful.
Keep your fingers crossed for the possibility of cloning one in the future as well.
