Much of his work is large-scale and the paint applied to the canvas is very thick. Having worked with both oils and acrylics, he became frustrated with both mediums because oils took too long to dry, and it was difficult to build up the desired texture with acrylics. | Medwedeff Forge & Design has been in operation since 1988, producing large-scale public sculpture, sculpture for exhibitions and high-end architectural and decorative functional pieces. The 4500 square foot studio encompasses all of the equipment of a traditional blacksmith shop as well as industrial metalworking technologies. A 30 foot tall crane bay allows for the vertical construction of very large pieces. John Medwedeff brings over 20 years of design and metalsmithing experience to each piece.
