My father, George Cleveland is restoring an old '37 Ford Coach. In the late 80s the car was restored by Buddy Krebs to look like one of his old cars, and was raced a several early NEAR events. My father spoke to Buddy Krebs several times and found out that the car was originally driven by Hal and Matt McCarty #79, and was raced in Danbury, Middletown, Lebanon Valley and several other NY tracks in the late 50s. I guess they started racing the car elsewhere when Danbury closed down for several years in the late 50s.
