FORESTVILLE — There will be no more Friday nights at Big Diamond Raceway.

In a letter sent Saturday night, owner/promoter Fritz Roehrig announced that he was closing the raceway after one of the worst seasons in its 35-year history. "As all of us know, there are seasons for everything in life. Here at Big Diamond, we have had some great seasons in the past, and some bad ones too," Roehrig said.
