Maine Racing Legend Homer Drew,1st Me. driver in the NEAR Hall of Fame passed on monday Feb.14.He was 66.
Homer won 5 titles at Beech Ridge,dual Modified & Bomber titles together in 68,Class A in 67 & 73 & Class B in 72.In Oct.1970 he won a 100 lap Open for Modifieds at Oxford Plains.In 1973 he won 6 of 8 Getty Opens at Oxford Plains.He had the knack of stepping into a back marker when his own ride broke & take it right to the front.Godspeed Homer...........
