My Favorite Beach Boys Tune

There she goes she ran in her room
She'll probably stay in there the rest of the day
It sounds like it must have been something you said
You know she's awful used to getting her way
Why don't you kiss her
And while you kiss her
Tell her you miss her
Why don't you treat her
Treat her nice
Don't hurt my little sister
Don't hurt my little sister
Don't hurt my little sister
You know she digs you and thinks you're a real groovy guy
But yet I'm not sure that I feel the same
We both know that you've been making her cry
I hope you don't think it's some kind of game
Why don't you love her
Like her big brother
Like her big brother
Why don't you tell her
Tell her you're sorry
Don't hurt my little sister
Don't hurt my little sister
Don't hurt my little sister
Don't hurt my little sister
Why don't you love her
Don't hurt my little sister
Like her big brother
Don't hurt my little sister
Don't hurt my little sister
Don't hurt my little sister

Re: My Favorite Beach Boys Tune

I all time favorite besides surfer girl Kokomo and Cold Head and warm heart was One Summer night off of Summer in Paradise. I think that was the most beautiful song I ever heard.

I am looking foward to the concert in April. If anyone is in St. Augustine look for me and say hi. I will be wearing a Beach Boys jacket.

Re: Re: My Favorite Beach Boys Tune

A very difficult choice, but for me it must be Fun Fun Fun,with it's cleverly put lyrics and great music. I particularly like Mike's verse added in 1996 written for Status Quo's version of the song.
"Well she's making a turn and it looks like she's coming around now
and i'm a little concerned 'cos the town is closing on down now
Well I jump in the 'bird for some good-time getting around now
and we'll have fun fun fun 'til her daddy takes the T-bird away
Fun Fun Fun 'til her daddy takes the T-bird away.

In May 1964 The Beach Boys turned the corner from a surf/car song group to s more mature sound with Don't Worry Baby. Look at the songs to follow and maturity was setting into the music & lyrics.
