Re: Can't believe how freaking busy i am in middle of Jan

I wish I had that problem. I'm still having a hard time even giving away jobs. I did a good run of $1100 for a week right before Christmas...haven't had a call in three weeks now. I use Google Adwords, Thumbtack and Yelp. I haven't gotten one call from Yelp. I wonder what the difference is?

Residential or commercial?

It's nice having both, the commercial accts we have are mostly on a regular basis. Helps when resi is slower.

Here's an idea some of you may want to try. AngiesList (http://www.angieslist.com) is a fee-based membership organization
which carries reviews, both positive and negative, of a wide variety
of businesses and professions. It costs between $20 and $40 per year to join, depending upon which area group your customers live in. Whenever a customer tells you that they were really pleased with the job you did, ask if they are
familiar with AngiesList. Find out first what the cost is to join in your
market area (http://www.my.angieslist.com/angieslist/visitor/price.aspx)
Tell your customer you are willing to reduce their bill by whatever their cost would be
to join AngiesList, if they would then submit a positive review of your business. Do just one of these a week, and in a year you will have far more
top ratings on AngiesList than any of your competitors. The more good reviews you get, then
Angieslist gives your business what it calls a Super Service Rating. I have
maintained this rating now for several years in the Boston metro area AngiesList group, and it can be very beneficial. You can then also make reference to this in whatever other marketing material you put out there.
