Funny about long distance air travel. When we left Boston on a Sunday heading for Sydney (via a brief stop in LA) we lost Monday altogether, and arrived in Sydney on Tuesday. On the return trip, we left Sydney at around 4 PM, Saturday, and arrived for a one-night stopover in San Francisco at 10 AM Saturday morning! Six hours before we left!! It's now Wed., and I am still feeling the effects of crossing all those time zones. I'm groggy at times during the day, and finding it difficult to sleep at night. I didn't experience much of this on the way to Australia, except for the first day we arrived, so it seems worse to go west to east than to go east to west - at least from my own experience.
