My wife Donna and I will be staying in New Years Eve in order to get up early (5 AM!) on new Years Day in order to get from our Santa Monica hotel, thru L.A. and over to Pasadena, where we will finally get to watch (live!) the Tournament of Roses Parade. Our hotel is awash with Badgers (University of Wisconsin fans, all decked out in red, and totally clogging up Santa Monica and L.A. while waiting for the Rose Bowl game to begin.) Strangely, purple-clad TCU Horned Frogs fans seem to be few and far between.
But, alas - a day later, it's back to snow-bound Boston.
