steam machines for tile & grout

Just wondering the extent that a quality tile and grout steam cleaner can attain. Do they do better than chemicals? If so why would any serious tile & grout cleaner use chemicals? Would appreciate any feedback.

Re: steam machines for tile & grout

I am usually satisfied that I get good, professional results on maybe 90 percent of the T&G floor that I am working on with my Challenger and its tile & grout brush. Sometimes I like to go back over the toughest parts with either the grout brush sold at the Magic Wand Company or with my steam vapor machine. The Magic Wand brush sells for $17 (add your own screw-in broom handle); a good steam vapor machine will set you back around $1000.
