Does anyone have any "tricks" for removing, or at least reducing clothing dye (Rit?) spots from carpet? My customer has several fairly small drips/spots and he said the thought they were a from a clothes dye. They are dark, fairly small and look like beverage spills.
Sounds like a tough one. Here are some possibilities:
Woolite Dye Magnet. These are sheets used in the laundry. Maybe you could adapt them to work on carpet. Rit Color Run Remover. Eclipse Carpet Dye Stain Remover (Pioneer Eclipse Corp., Sparta NC.
Maybe Steve at Vacaway has some ideas. steve@vacaway.com. He makes a lot of carpet stain removers.
I had been using red vanish from vacaway without an iron with limited results, but I just started using it again with an iron placed over a wet towel or pad, and it come up easy most of the time.
