Re: Pix of Larger Wheels & Spray System on a Challenger
I put on the bigger wheels today and had an empty apartment to try it on (berber)and it worked fine easy to handle, just have to work out the bugs of getting the adjustments and proper free wheeling of wheels on the long treaded axle and getting the nuts tightened just right.Just one thing is that the wheels add about another 10 lbs.So carring it up three flights of stairs takes getting used to.
Re: Pix of Larger Wheels & Spray System on a Challenger
Derek, is that the Kearns machine in Australia?
My one concern is that with an open-top solution tank on a machine without a flip-up head, you have to be very careful not to fill the tank so high that liquid spills out when you lay the machine down to change or turn over a pad.
Re: Pix of Larger Wheels & Spray System on a Challenger
Why can't the industry come up with a solution tank design that would allow a cover of some sort to be quickly locked in place when the machine needs to be tipped back for whatever reason. And so that the resultant tightness would not impede gravity solution flow, there could be a small "slide-open, slide-closed" mechanism to allow air pressure to be equalized as soon as the machine was raised back up into the working position. With something like this in place, the watertight cover could be kept in place except when the tank needed to be refilled. Hmm....
maybe I should sit down at my drawing board.....
