I did a job yesterday at a kind of chiropractic/sports medicine/massage therapy kind of building - several small to medium size offices, massage rooms, and related spaces. What I first thought at entering the various spaces to get the feel of the place to be dark stains on the carpet turned out to be clumps of black hair. In one office there were several pictures of the chiropractor with her big black dog - obviously the source of the hair. It turned out to be everywhere, and vacuuming it up took up about half of my total time there. I will be adding a pet hair removal surcharge to the bill, allthough I haven't yet decided how much. When you have a job where the "tail wags the dog" (no pun intended) you have the right to charge for services above and beyond the call.
