Oriental Fringes

Hi- When cleaning oriental fringes, what is a way to prep them for cleaning-Would you put a drop cloth ubder the fringe or cotton towels to protect the floor, and then spray them and hand brush them? When finished how would one go about rinsing the fringes-with a small extractor? Any bit of info would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Oriental Fringes

I would suggest cotton towels or pads. Use an encapsulating cleaner such as Releasit Encap DS so you don't have to worry about rinsing.

Re: Oriental Fringes

Could you just use encap punch on the whole rug and fringe?-after testing for colorfast of course

Re: Oriental Fringes

Don't know why not.

Re: Oriental Fringes

The only thing is - with encap you cant really use a cotton pad-and if you are not going to use the challenger and have to use the stair tool, then what would you recommend for the pad??

Re: Oriental Fringes

Not really true. Encap Punch is intended to be extracted by one medium or another. A cotton pad is a medium of extraction.
