where buy supplies?

Aside from Challenger direct, i have seen another site mentioned alot for supplies, and now when I want to find it I can't. FOr pads, etc. Please advise

Re: where buy supplies?

Buy more of the thin (single-ply) cotton pads that came with your Challenger machine from Challenger Pad
Systems. I prefer the 2-ply terry pads that I buy in the 17" diameter from Argo & Co. www.argoco.com. You can buy just about everything used in this industry from Jon-Don Supply. www.jondon.com.
Derek on this Forum has made reference to Tuway? pads that he likes for encapsulation cleaning.

Re: where buy supplies?

depends what kinda pads you are referring to Steven.

i buy all my cotton pads and spotting solutions from Steve Smith @ Vacaway : http://vacaway.com/index.htm

currently from Vacaway i use :

- Whamm : crystalizing Encap cleaner and deodorizer (use this in homes with odor/urine problems).

- Tsunami DS : Crystalizing Encap cleaner good for OP'ing (don't use it often, but wouldn't be without it).

- Z-Bomb : Prespray for homes with higher levels of soil (i use this as a booster with Liquid Procyon [see below])

- Red Vanish : crystalizing spotter (best i've used... encapsulates as well so no need for extraction).

- Cyclone : ink & soil flitration spotter.

- P.O.G. : Spotter for Paint, Oil, Grease, Tar, Ink, Magic Marker, Chocolate, Make-up, Candy, etc.

- POOF : Crystallizing Spot Remover to give to your clients. Around $100 + shipping and you get 100 bottles (WITH your name, number and logo put on them for free). Great way for them to remember your name and number and keeps your name in front of them.

- CCS Pads : 100% cotton pads. the most durable of the "thinner" cotton pads that i've used.

i order synthetic pads and other products from Excellent Supply :
http://www.excellent-supply.com/categories.asp

from them i use :

- Encap Clean DS : Crystallizing Encap cleaner.

- Encap Spot : Crystallizing Encapsulating spot remover.

- Encap Punch : Crystallizing Encapsulating cleaner for use with OP and extracted with cotton pads (if you are going to be using moist cotton pads to extract soil, this is the cleaner to use from the Releasit line).

- Fiber Plus Pads : a synthetic pad you would use for Encap cleaning. this would be used with a product like Encap Clean DS. no need for extraction of this product as it crystalizes and is removed with future vacuumings (aka : Encap).

my main cleaning solution has been Soap-Free Procyon which i found at it's cheapest here : http://tinyurl.com/8ebmf

for Frieze carpet i have been using a Tuway ThinOne. Frieze (what some ppl call the "New Shag") is a delicate style of carpet that apparently can TipBloom more easily than other styles of carpet. this made me nervous with OP but using the ThinOne, no worries. you can order them here just click on ThinOne: http://tinyurl.com/7lx2o

i am going to start trying these ThinOne pads as a replacement to cotton and see how it turns out. someone with more CC'ing experience than probably anyone who reads this forum stated that while these pads do not "appear" dirtier after using them as a cotton will, if you put each in a seperate hot bucket of water and agitate, you will see the water is the same dark color in each bucket. while i haven't done this yet, if it is true we will all be saving a LOT of $$$$$$$$ on cotton pads!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanx --- Derek

Re: where buy supplies?

BAH, Mark beat me to it

yep, those ARGO's are very sturdy! i gotta order more of them Two-Sided ones and also give their One-Sided pads a try in comparison with the CCS pads.

i'm sure i forgot more...i'll re-post as i think of 'em.

thanx --- Derek
