Does anyone have any advise on how to market for commercial business? I am thinking of getting a mailing list from USADATA and sending postcards. Any other ideas?
Since I am writing, I like to know if September is usually a slow month in the carpet cleaning business. I'm in the Jersey area and this month things have slow down for me.
It's a matter of what methods are comfortable for you.
Some people report regularly just walking into whatever business, introduccing yourself, and asking if a demo can be performed. For others, this is much too "Type A". You could call prospective business in your area, say, in a nearby industrial park. Ask for the name of the Facility Manager. Mail that person a cover letter any any supporting materials that would be relevant. Request a demo. Or just mail to these businesses: "Att'n: Facility Manager"
