They're pretty much useless on carpet. I'm glad I only bought one. The only use I've found for mine is on scuffed up vct. Spread some neutral mop solution down, then buff with the micropad. Sometimes it's easier on the bod than mopping out a very scuffed floor. Think of it as power mopping.
