Rough tile help

Recently, I did a job at a restaurant.

The owner had me also do his tile (with the G&T brush of course).

But when I used the cotton pads, the uneven "stone" tile wore out the pad and put a hole in it.

Has anyone done this type before?
If so, any tips?

I scheduled another carpet cleaning with him. Should I just not clean this type of floor again?

Thanks for the help

Re: Rough tile help

No question that the pads do take a beating when used
on stone floors. Especially if there is some distance between the tiles. That one of the reasons
that I prefer the Argo 2-ply pads to single-thickness
ones. There's more of a cushion there. Others
scrub the floor with whatever floor machine and brush
they're using, then suck up the leftover mess with a
small portable extractor.
