2-ply terrycloth pads (16" diameter) that I buy from

you ever used larger 20" pads? i hear that way it cleans to the baseboards while your CC'ing (and even cleans the BB's)?

I use the 19" fiber plus pads when I encap. They extend about 1.5". They do clean the baseboards and any carpet that's installed to run up the base a bit.

The pads that come with the Challenger package are about 1" oversized I would say, and they do the extended baseboard cleaning as well.

Pads are becoming more available, encap pads, thick absorbtion pads, cotton pads, they each have thier place.

Argo makes a double sided that is good for absorbtion but lacking in cleaning, encap pads you want something that will scrub but not scratch, thick pads again for absorbtion, and cotton heavy duty but thin enough to dig deep.
