2024 place allocation and a river crossing

Greetings to one and all, it's been a few years since I last took part in the TGO Challenge (2017) and I'm really looking forward to doing it again. I have 2 questions for all you knowledgeable people out there :-
1. Has everybody that stated a preferred start date had their conformation e-mail?
2. Does anybody know if the bridge is still standing and safe enough to cross in front of Ben Alder Cottage (NN 49679 67903)?

Thank you in advance for your help and I look forward to meeting you all and having a giggle along the way, happy planning!

Re: 2024 place allocation and a river crossing

Hi Billy
Welcome back.
1. I received mine on 8th October, so assuming you have paid the entry fee I guess you should have had yours too? May be in your spam folder?

2. I haven't been that way recently, but certainly the bridge was still there a year ago, so I would assume so.

I don't know if you are on Facebook, but if you are it might be worth joining the TGO Challenge FB page, it is probably more active than the Message Board is now, there may be someone on there with more up to date information on that bridge.

Hope that helps
Louise 🙂

Thanks Louise, nice to hear from you again, hopefully I'll see you somewhere along the way. I'm old school, I'll head over there!

You're welcome 😁

Re: 2024 place allocation and a river crossing

The bridge at Ben Alder Cottage is in fine condition - I think work was done on it quite recently.
