Re: Corran Ferry

Oh!

Not good news.

I hope this will be flagged up to all who may be coming this way - I know not everyone looks at the Notice Board ( or, don't participate in threads? ).

Meanwhile - plan B ......

Re: Corran Ferry

Gordon, there's been a lively discussion on FB 🙈
There may be a bus for foot passengers, don't know if that would as part of the Challenge https://www.highland.gov.uk/news/article/15249/corran_ferry_update

Re: Corran Ferry

From the FB post:

Corran Ferry - as many of you will know from news reports and discussion in the TGO Challenge group this is out of action and reports of how long vary from several days to several weeks. As yet there is no information from Highland Council as to what alternative arrangements will be made for foot passengers. Thankfully this only affects about 20 Challengers but if you are on e of them it is a potential problem. Should the disruption continue during the Challenge it will of course be acceptable to use any bus service available, seek alternative transport to Inchree or adjust you route to use the Camasunagaul ferry (though this doesn't run on a Sunday). We don't suggest doing anything quite yet as hopefully more information will become available in the next week or so. We will email all those affected.

Re: Corran Ferry

That looks like good news.

I guess they will have their act together by the time TGO folk need to use the 12 seater.

Begs the question - how many they anticipate using it? The regular time table is pretty good. Can't imagine there would be much queuing?

Re: Corran Ferry

As it is for foot passengers only, I think you'll be fine. The vehicle drivers are having a real whinge on the council FB post, "Where are all the cars going to park?", er, they'll be driving round? 🤦🏻
