More seriously (not that snoring isn't serious!) : Kate isn't taking any block booking over the Challenge period - certainly the period when Challengers are likely to be staying, she wants to ensure that Challengers can get a bed if they need one.
If you haven't stayed at Rucksacks Braemar then you're missing a trick. It's a lovely place, and Kate is a star!
