There is a new off-road section coming out of Cannich towards Drum. Has anyone tried it? It starts at the road corner by the bridge at the SE end of the village. It is a forested route of about 4km replacing about 3km of walking alongside the A831. Some of it is on tracks marked on the OS map, other parts look like they are newly created paths between the tracks. It is always good to get away from the road and the extra 1km is probably worth it unless it is difficult to follow or very difficult terrain. Any views from someone who has tried it?.

We walked this route on last year’s TGOC - lovely route. Will be even better when the next section of new path is created ( it may already be in place?).
Much nicer than road walking.
