Memories

Martin Goddard and myself Carl Oddy bought a ultimate pea pod 2 man tent in 1984, and used it in Scotland and the lakes. We did our first ultimate challenge in 1986 and again in 1989 after which ultimate ceased trading, the walk became the great outdoor challenge (tgo) sponsored by them, we met some wonderful people in those early days, many have sadly passed on. I did my 10th crossing in 2013 but using a one man terra nova competition. Ps our pea pod is still in first class condition, we have had it pitched in our garden for 2 weeks and is still waterproof. Has any one got a pea pod still?

Re: Memories

No, but I have a Phoenix Phreerunner that hasn’t seen the outside world since the nineties, so can’t vouch for its weatherproofing. Incidentally wasn’t Phoenix a reincarnation of Ultimate, which itself ceased to be?
