Quiz

In spite of all the catastrophic devastation that coronavirus has caused, there have been some positive things for many of us during lockdown to find. For me, one of those things is the way the neighbours on our street have got to know each so much better. We still meet every Thursday evening at 8pm outside our gates on the street, socially distanced, of course. Instead of the NHS/keyworkers clap, we usually have a quiz or puzzle now and chat through the answers from the one given out the previous week. We even have prizes for the winning household.
This week, I decided to set the cryptic clues, and what better subject to pick than one of my favourite topics, British mountains. I thought other challengers might like to have a go too, so here it is. If you want it marking, just email me your answers. There may even be a prize for the winning entry. You've got until 30th September to submit your entry
I tested it on my 89 year old mother and she was at 21/30 within 24 hours !
Enjoy, Sue

Thanks Sue,looks fun. Could take me a while...

Re: Quiz

Just the icecream one to go and it is driving me crazy. A few of them appear to have more than one possible answer.

Re: Quiz

OK Brian, the ice cream one is probably more of a hill than a mountain, but it's that age old debate as to what a "mountain" actually is, once again.

Re: Quiz

Got it!!!!
