Re: computer printers

Hi Barbara - I have spent many years installing and supporting HP laser printers and would not hesitate to recommend one for map printing. There are none of the problems you get with inkjet printers (blocked jets, cleaning cycles using precious ink, low capacity, rain makes the ink run), the only slight downside is lower colour quality for photo printing, but maps will look good. A new A4 printer will cost £100 to £150 depending on options, double sided printing will not add much to the cost and is worthwhile. New printers will come with "starter" toners and are good for a few hundred copies depending on colour usage. Replacement toners will do a few thousand copies, again depending on coverage. WiFi printing is OK, but always try and connect your printer directly with USB or Ethernet if you can.

Hope this helps, Andy.

Habe a look here for colour laser printers: https://www.morgancomputers.co.uk/c/582/Printer-Deals/

Re: computer printers

The added benefit is that you can print on waterproof paper.
