Most Useful

Just a reminder of one of *the* most useful sites EVER for route planning:
https://www.walkingclub.org.uk/maps/os/landranger/index.html[/]
For those tricky little OS 1:50000 map numbers.
You can thank me later 😉

Re: Most Useful

That links not working... but thanks anyway.

Re: Most Useful

Well, that's not working either!
However...if you read the 2019 Event Details, you can find a working link there!

Re: Most Useful

try this: nobody likes a smart arse

Re: Most Useful

Very useful. It seems to work if you click on UK Maps then OS Great Britain which is just below a map of nudist beaches ....

My favourite way of looking at the OS 1:50000 maps - climbthemunros.co.uk seems to be down.

Re: Most Useful

This string is the funniest , it may even prompt me to give it another go ; sometime or other . Are there nudist beaches anywhere on the crossing routes ? .

Re: Most Useful

A beach is what you make of it William...

Re: Most Useful

I recall beaches on Loch Beoraid in 2006 on my first crossing where challengers had marked their numbers in the sand . A wonderfully dry crossing . All my subsequent crossings up to my last in 2012 were wet and windy . Any sand writing vanished quickly in a deluge or blew away . I made it across each time having learnt how to look after my feet following blisters on my first . Yes Willie a beach is a good place to take a break or wherever at about 2and 1/2 hrs . cheers and enjoy .
