Re: Thank you

My thanks too to Sue, Ali, Roger, Hamish, the vetters, the challenge control team, the Tarfside team, and all participants. Although my 7th crossing, it was the first one through Tarfside and overall I made more contacts and friends on this crossing than all the other 6 combined when I've clearly been on less-trodden paths. I may have over done the socialising by attending both the Thursday and Friday dinners, both magnificent occasions but each quite different. Happy 40th TGOC!
See you next year hopefully,
Simon.

Re: Thank you

Thank you again to everyone involved in organizing this years Challenge and especially to Sue and Ali and the warmth of the welcome that we all get at Tarfside is really quite special. It's been a brilliant event again. See you next year I hope.

Re: Thank you

My thanks too to all the folk who make this great event happen every year. Long may it continue!
Sorry I did not meet more old acquaintances this year and good wishes to them all.

Re: Thank you

I loved being back on the Challenge after a 10 year break, and had a fab time. Ditto the thanks to Sue and Ali, Roger, the vetters, team Tarfside and all the other volunteers who put their time into making it such a wonderful event. Lovely to catch up with old friends and meet new ones. Big thanks to all!

Re: Thank you

I would also like to thank all those who made the 2019 crossing so successful. When I planned my route I didn't realise that going north of Aviemore I would meet so few Challengers, but in five days I met Lindy...and that was it! It took a huge amount of personal willpower to get me through it and by that I mean that I was seriously down for 4-5 days and found it very difficult walking.

Tarfside cheered me up though, so did Brechin even though I wimped out into a B&B and so arrival at Lunan Bay was superb and totally alone.

I enjoyed it, I loved Ault na Goire but the loneliness as the end was difficult to cope with. See you next year.

Re: Thank you

Hello

I just returned home after an extended stay in the UK.

Thanks to all the organizers, those working control and everyone I had the pleasure of meeting along the way.
