Re: European elections May 23rd

Me too, Vanessa. Me too. Every vote counts. For me, I've applied for a postal vote, 'cos I'll be back home in time (trundling home then back to Montrose for the Mighty 40th Party Bash oh yea).

Whatever your persuasion, whatever your particular politics, this European Election is absoulutely critical. Sure, you may think that they're all a bunch of crazies - but if you don't vote, why that's how the extremists get in.

We can't live in some class of a bubble where we happily groove on hill-walking, the warm comfort of our Challenge and our lifestyle.

I don't give a sh*t whether you're a hard-right-extremist or a Trot. But I do urge you all to vote. Not voting lets the madmen/women in . . .

Re: European elections May 23rd

I've also applied for a proxy vote.

Re: European elections May 23rd

Proxy vote applied for; rotten timing, but it's important to vote.

Re: European elections May 23rd

Me too.

Re: European elections May 23rd

but ... but ... we left the EU on 29th March, surely?

Re: European elections May 23rd

:grimacing:

Re: European elections May 23rd

Just realised I too will be getting home on the 23rd, Humphrey, due to work commitments on the 24th.

(That is assuming there isn't a re-run of the rail chaos that had me stranded in Manchester on the way home last year)

Re: European elections May 23rd

Sent mine off last week. 😁
