Re: CAUTIONARY TALES FOR NEW CHALLENGERS

Hello me old muka, That first story never fails to give me a chuckle!! I remember it as if it was yesterday!!
I well and truly miss those Halcon times in the fife arms with the banter and camaraderie,
It's a shame that new challengers will never see the like again,🌈🦋🌞

Re: CAUTIONARY TALES FOR NEW CHALLENGERS

Thank you, I enjoyed that. At least I think the emotion you stirred was enjoyment or was it fear... just off to check the fibre content of my undies.

Re: CAUTIONARY TALES FOR NEW CHALLENGERS

Thanks for the reminder Alan.

The shredding shreddies on the day after being immersed at Invermallie on Stormy Sunday. :astonished:

Then of course Mr. Knickers was stuck at Oban bothy and had to be "rescued".

Re: CAUTIONARY TALES FOR NEW CHALLENGERS

Y'know, at the end of each year's challenge I stagger into the Park amazed that we've survived yet again. We really are pushing our luck you know.

Re: CAUTIONARY TALES FOR NEW CHALLENGERS

Obviously NONE of that is true...

Oh hang on...

ALL OF THAT IS TRUE 😱😱😱

So many happy memories. 😂😂😂

Re: CAUTIONARY TALES FOR NEW CHALLENGERS

The Dave incident bring tears to my eyes, both laughter and pain :upside_down_face:

Re: CAUTIONARY TALES FOR NEW CHALLENGERS

Thank you for sharing these nuggets of invaluable insight--I am now feeling entirely vindicated for having spent what seemed a fortune at the time on my husbands merino "foundation garments"--after reading, it seems butt a small price to pay knowing the consequences of cotton.
