Davy's Bourach (GR 232778)

Davy's Bourach is on Jocks Road about 4 miles from the ranger centre in Glen Doll. Forfar & District Hillwalking Club say that it is in an unsafe condition with a partial collapse of a supporting wall, so don't go in and certainly don't plan to stop in it overnight. It is going to be repaired but not before next summer....

Re: Davy's Bourach (GR 232778)

I don't think that I would ever deliberately plan on spending the night there. It was only ever built as an emergency survival shelter.

Re: Davy's Bourach (GR 232778)

Brian - your comments and advice are, as ever, entirely germane.

Do you think that at some time you'd like to actually participate in The Challenge? As a first-timer you'd be certain of a warm welcome. It's a big tent and you'll be amongst friends of all persuasions. Maybe we can welcome you in 2020?

Re: Davy's Bourach (GR 232778)

Humphrey,
I'd love to, but unfortunately circumstances dictate otherwise.

No harm! Keep up the advice! We welcome your expertise!
