Re: Bridge of Gaur

There's a rather nice guest house that is Challenge friendly:
https://www.middleofnowhere.co.uk/contact-form.php
If you get in touch, they may let you camp, I know people have in the past. Or you might treat yourself, they do nice meals and your washing too.
Although, I've never stayed myself, there are many good reports

Re: Bridge of Gaur

Hi Louise,

Once again you may have come to the rescue 😁

Cheers

Shaun

Re: Bridge of Gaur

Oh well, I try my best

Re: Bridge of Gaur

I assume you know that Kingshouse is closed for major refurbishment.

Have a look at NN322552 and NN569566....and a read of this

Re: Bridge of Gaur

Thanks John,

The Kingshouse website says that it'll reopen in Feb 2019, if not I'll wildcamp there ( I've done it before).

Cheers

Shaun

Re: Bridge of Gaur

I've camped just off the road to the left a mile or so before the guesthouse, near a small stream, well secluded from the very minor road. This was after I dried all my kit in the waiting room at the train station.

Re: Bridge of Gaur

Thanks Julie, great use of the waiting room 😂
