Re: Acharacle

I would take the boat.

I went cross country through Claish Moss then around the coast to Polloch last year and wouldn't recommend it.
It would be particularly bad if it was a wet year.

Terry,
The 2019 Event Details are available to download via Resources link at TGO Challenge web site and contain contact details for crossing Loch Shiel from Dalelia.

Re: Acharacle

We took a boat from there last year Terry.

It was fine.

Even the day before when it was blowing a gale they got across ok, although mildly wet.

Al or Phil has the details and contact number to book it.

Getting off on the floating pontoon in choppy weather would be fun 😂

Re: Acharacle

There is an intermediate option. Follow the forest track to NM717657; then go part way up Resipol to Lochan Bac an Lochain NM763650 and down the other side. I went this way in 2016 but you won't see many challengers. Then I headed for the Corran Ferry.

Colin.
